My Garmin Forerunner 405 and me...

 I will be very cautious when I will replace this sportwatch by the next Garmin. Very early the loop broke and I was not surprised at all... It was poorly conceived!
So is there any solution?
Yes fortunately and very cheap. Take a rubber band and replace the loop. Less rigid, adaptable and easy to change!
