Why small hospitals must be closed: even in France
This paper is a great example of investigation journalism. As a matter of facts small US military hospitals are the tip of the iceberg. But in countries where healthcare system is closed for data investigation quality of care is not available and governments releases only favorable statistics.

Is it rational to authorize doctors from abroad and to limit the number of french students in our medical schools? Is it constitutional?

"VOUS CONSTATEREZ en regardant outre la provenance, les dates de naissance (âges de 56 à 32 ans) que la moyenne d'âge est de 42,7 ans (Normalement entre 25 et 28 ans en sortie d'études). Ce qui veut dire que ces "médecins" ont trainé dans les hôpitaux français avec des statuts bidons (fonction d'interne ou équivalent) pendant des années avant d'avoir pu se faire qualifier (erreur de l'article: un médecin à diplôme étranger n'est pas "nommé" mais "autorisé d'exercer") au vu de l'expérience acquise. Je vous laisse juge de la qualité de "l'expérience acquise" dans ce genre de fonction et de son inadaptation à l'exercice de la médecine générale. Bonne santé à tous !!!"

"You have to study tens of thousands of people at the cost of hundreds of millions of dollars before you even know if a treatment has promise," Califf said. "So we've got to figure out less expensive ways to do clinical trials. There are no shortcuts.""
