Deflation?

I just check my Amazon cart and the list of purchases because I plan to place an order. I am very surprised to discover that ALL the item prices have decreased: sometimes a lot! Are these deflated prices reflected in the CPI? Or is this true deflation only a short term side effect of the crisis? Or is macroeconomics in need of better indices?
