La ligue des démocraties de John MacCain

The league of democracies: good, bad idea or nothing?
It is a very good question for foreign policy specialists. As a liberal (european acceptation) I am very doubtfull about the foreign policy of US. Even if we might consider Irak war in the perspective of the next twenty years at least, the issue is not clear despite a huge spending of boys and money. Finally the question is: do US and other democracies have to act for increasing the number of democratic governments in the world? If the answer is yes by what means, political, economical or by force? If it's no what should we do facing terrorism?
