The recent paper by Bezin is all in this sentence:
"To that intent, we will need to access the full national SNIIRAM (Système national d’information inter-régimes de l’Assurance maladie) database (66 million persons), which will give us the power to study more precisely the association between statin discontinuation and the occurrence of cardiovascular events or death."
France has a single payer system but access to data are the privilege of the state. It is a pity.
Bezin J, et al. Impact of a public media event on the use of statins in the French population. Arch Cardiovasc Dis (2016), http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.acvd.2016.05.002
