Grass fed cattle and carbon flow

This issue is very controversial. CO2 is not a poison! There is a flow of carbon which is dependent on carbon emissions and carbon fixation by soil and plants.
Grass fed animals help CO2 fixation in soil and through the growth of grass. But they emit methane and CO2.
It seems that calculation shows that the sum is negative for CO2. But the problem is that our emissions are still high.
The question is the quantum...
Eco fanatics are wrong because they don’t measure anything and condemn meat, cars, planes and our way of life globally on an ideological basis.
We need more data.
Especially we need big data about emissions in vast area where grass fed cattle are raised. I read that with satellites this is possible...

Last but not least
How to change and favor the transition ?
I think that we will be able in the near future to measure precisely Carbon emission and to apply the tax according to the negative externality. CAFO  will become less competitive. At the present time CAFO is subsidized through cereal subsidies either in the country of cereal production or in the country of meat production (borrowing funds for building all the system of feeding cattle indoor with a continuous flow of corn soy and other cereals).
